I Hate This Person...

The following is from an L.A. Times article written today about the digital television transition happening tomorrow. I almost had an aneurism when I read the section below:

Devon Dunlap, 24, of Studio City works in the television industry but hadn't realized that the transition was coming until she saw a public service announcement during the Los Angeles Lakers NBA finals game Tuesday night.

"I'm not actually a big television watcher," said Dunlap, who works in postproduction on reality TV shows.

Devon Dunlap, 24, of Studio City: DIE! Seriously. Go run into traffic and kill yourself. You work in "television" (i put that in quotes because she works in reality T.V. which is barely television and hardly entertainment) and you didn't know T.V. were going digital this week? How f'ing stupid are you? Don't even get me started on how you are a cancer on society for working on reality t.v. shows and I don't care that you aren't "a big T.V. watcher." This has been in the f'ing news for the last year and has been advertised for the last year - at least! In a years time you mean to tell me you haven't seen one single channel of this b.s. Its not like there has been a lack of public service announcements. I am surprised the govt. hasn't just resorted to carving the date onto our freaking faces. Because based on the number of people like Devon Dunlap, 24, of Studio City, It would honestly be less painful and more effective than all these damn commercials.

I'm so very sorry that something so incredibly trivial upset you to the point where you had to get up, huff and puff your way to the computer and 'blog' about it. Guess what? No one cares. Well, maybe one of the eight abortions that finds your whining to be entertaining but the rest of us (as in, the entire fucking planet) would rather suck the shit of a dead baby's ass than be subjected to what goes on in your head.

Yeah, I'm stooping to your level because I can't stand this idea you have that somebody wants to know how you feel about this girl that you have never even met and know nothing about, besides the fact that she watches less TV than you.

So what if she doesn't watch TV? There are a multitude of facets of the TV industry that don't require one to keep up on their TV watching. But I understand why you would assume something like that, it would be like me assuming you eat a lot of hot dogs.

So please, before your next blog/personal attack/open dialogue - whatever, please consider the fact that the real cancer to society is the blatant narcissism people like you possess in believing that somebody really gives a shit about how you feel about Devon Dunlap, 24, of Studio City.

  2. Well said. The most pathetic part of this narcissistic blowhard is he doesn't even write original material. Yeah I am sure in your bloated head you are the next Adam Carolla or Tom Lycis. But if really want to be like them, stop ripping off their material. This commentary went around ad nauseam when they decided to extend the deadline in February. Your next post is grading crappy kid art, right?

To your credit, you do such a piss- poor job of using their material it can hardly be recognized as plagiarism. Not only is nothing in your post funny, the subject you decided to pick on clearly stated she doesn't watch or care much about TV. Is it shocking she hasn't rushed out to get a DCB? If she complained that the government didn't give her any warning and demanded one of those coupons right away, yeah maybe you would have a leg to support you considerable girth.

Blogging really isn't for you. I would say don't quit your day job, but it seems you don't even have one. So its ironic you are criticizing the career of another person who is working to support herself (and paying taxes to support your unemployed ass). I suggest you redirect your energies to searching the wanted adds and maybe spending a few minutes on the treadmill now and then.

  3. Here is a question that is probably - and I mean 'probably' . . . I'm not taking anything for granted - simple enough for you to address in a reasonable fashion . . . How many O's are in Soooooper Dooooucebag?

I have a whole laundry list of problems with your post . . . but I'll stick the most important ones - cause well, unlike you, I don't feel the need to spout angry jibberish into the ether on the off chance that someone might stumble upon it and read it due to their mistaken impression that just because it is on the internet it is important enough to warrant the time it takes them to read it.

Problem one - you are a graduate student (as am I) which means that by your simply existing - any pride I might have felt about my own accomplishments has been delegitimized if not entire erased.

Problem two - as a "graduate student" . . . you shouldn't have nearly enough time to watch television so incessantly and obsessively that anything on the idiot box gets drilled into your head in a manner that (even metaphorically) compares to having something chiseled into stone (although I suspect that stone is an apt metaphor for the area above your neck).

Problem three - your misimpression that the appropriate use of new media technology is the airing of your pedantic grievances with people who live lives and do things . . . even when the thing that those persons do is work a solid day filling the pipe with more content for your entertainment.

I could go on . . . but that would risk me beginning to sound like you - and I certainly wouldn't want that - I suggest you follow your own advice. Sitting in traffic may be too good for you. Can you simply go back and re-read your blog in the hopes that its vapidity causes your head to implode?

  4. Oh wow. These people are crazy and apparently have very little cynical humor. Entertaining though to read and see all the time they spent responding.

I would advise you to make your blog private but then I couldn't refer all my friends to read it.

Congrats on the new job and finishing your masters. I wonder what these guys do?
